Consider the possibility that Heaven is not contained in a place or location. You are an instrument of Heaven. Heaven is not limited by space or geography. We can use our minds, and position our lives, to align with the power of Heaven on Earth.
You can recognize and increase the existence of Heaven on earth, despite what may seem like massive evidence contradicting the idea that you have this power. No matter how difficult things may seem personally or globally, in each situation there are opportunities and responsibilities to use the power of Heaven on earth. The way we contextualize each moment or situation will direct our understanding of what is happening, of why it is happening, and of our experience in the situation. In any given moment, we can contextualize ourselves in the power of Heaven, or the helplessness of Hell. When we have the tools to see signs of Heaven, we can contextualize each situation within Heaven on Earth, fueling the power of our lives beyond what had seemed to be our limits.
Heaven is not dependent on physical form for its existence. In fact, we usually think of death of the physical body as a prerequisite for our entry into Heaven. But Heaven’s existence is not limited by, subordinate to, or excluded from: the physical body, the boundaries of earth’s atmosphere, the borders of our universe, or any other physical element. These can’t limit or exclude Heaven.
We usually think of Heaven as a place or space where we don’t exist and where we want to go to or enter. But, if we want to experience Heavenly power, asking whether Heaven is a place or a spiritual concept is the wrong question. The question is how to experience Heaven – whether it's a place or a concept.
Some people think Heaven can be bought with certain actions or beliefs, as if it has a price tag or a way to be earned. Heaven is not a piece of exclusive real estate. It is a community beyond physical limits. It includes you! It is also beyond the limits of our human understandings and judgements.
16 CONTEXTUAL ELEMENTS to magnify your awareness of heaven’s existence in your life, of heaven’s systems in our world, and of your power to be a vehicle FOR heaven on earth:
Element #1
No matter how smart you are, you cannot manipulate, deconstruct, or over-ride Heaven’s operating systems, including the systems of Nature.
Heaven’s operating systems cannot be reduced to the limited factors the human brain understands. But, our brains CAN understand what it means to be a part of Heaven -to love all other life and our own as best we can.
If we don’t trust Heaven’s systems, including the Laws of Nature, we position ourselves in opposition to these systems, and falsely believe we can control foundational, natural system dynamics. When we do this, we fail in our goals and think we have lost a control that we never had in the first place. Security and control are only found in alignment WITH heavenly systems.
Element #2
Are you thinking, "But human systems of politics, economy, healthcare, and more, are governed by competition, not governed by integrity and cooperation.”
Do not be disheartened. Destructive actions cannot overpower or undermine Heaven’s systems. Know that any apparent problem is a signal, pointing to open areas needing an expanded understanding. Our impact on issues and events is only limited by our own perceptual beliefs in limits. We choose whether to focus on the frustration of the process, or the opportunity to expand our own understandings, to bring our experience into a Heavenly context, and to deliver this experience into our environment. When we do this, we have so much more power than we realized.
Let your mind to be ruled by the wisdom of your heart, beyond the limits of your physical brain. Both your brain and heart have enormous purpose. They are embedded in Heaven’s operating systems on Earth. Look for Heaven, and you can see Heaven at work on Earth NOW.
Element #3
It is not necessary for our physical lives to conform to the human idea of perfection before we can experience Heaven.
Heaven is not dependent on physical form. Heaven already exists. It does not use human metrics or judgements to determine value, or to determine what Heaven includes. Form does not create Heaven. You can feel Heaven when you sense it with your heart. Let this information inform your mind. To value and love all life is to sense Heaven. As you sense this, Heaven will THEN appear in your awareness.
Think of Heaven as an experience, not a place. Believing Heaven is a far-away place can create fear and anxiety, fearing something may obstruct your entry into Heaven. This belief and these emotions can bring about destructive behavior. If you see people wanting life in a place called Heaven, and behaving poorly when they think they are far from it, don’t be disheartened. Remember that Heaven’s operating system is not controlled by, or over-powered by, destructive behavior.
Element #4
Hell occurs in believing each life form is independent, & that some lives are more important than others.
Choosing to believe in this will leave you thinking some lives are excluded from Heaven – and in this way, you blind yourself of the reality of what Heaven is even about.
Each life is different, & each is interdependent with all others. When you experience yourself in the context of Heaven, you let love guide your mind; not arrogance, judgement, or greed. You listen, you have compassion, and you respect the wisdom and love of others. This is how we figure out how to love each other. The human brain is not the expert on how to love another person. Listen from a heart of cooperation and wisdom. This wisdom is found in the heart, not in the brain. Use your heart to understand love.
On a wider scale, wisdom understands how to use Heaven’s connective tissue of love for global cooperation. Love’s connective tissue is always creating the potential for experiences of Heaven. When humans listen to, and trust their hearts, they can cooperate from powerful systems governed by the integrity of the whole, for the benefit of all.
Element #5
You are not defined by your physical body.
It is a part of you now; but not forever. Your unique Heavenly energy, beyond your physical body, is already alive in you now. Are you willing to unlearn the idea that you don’t live in Heaven? Are you willing to consider that you do? Let your physical body be like a backseat driver, a passenger to support you, but not to define you.
Heaven does not require a physical body, including your brain. Heaven is infinite and more powerful than the physical body. In an interesting twist of logic, Heaven cannot be excluded from the physical body.
That’s Element #6
What happens when you live this physical life within the context of Heaven?
What impact act does this have on you and the people around you?
When we recognize Heaven, the experience is like fuel for a life of impact that is actively extending out as an infinite impact. Like the butterfly effect which states that because of the sensitive dependence of everything on initial conditions, a small change (THAT’S YOU!) in one system can result in large differences across other connected operating systems.
We are a very small part of a very large system - an Infinite system. Each life is a part of all others. So by seeking out and embracing everything that nourishes life, you increase the impact of your love and of your experience of Heaven, on the environment around you and within you.
Don’t get stuck in the dark moments. Think of the times in your life when someone’s else’s love brought light into your dark moment. Understand that the power of love is our security and stability, and the darkness is not sustainable.
Element #7
If you believe you are currently outside of Heaven’s community, picture yourself as living inside of a "bubble", where each life believes it is limited and separate from the rest of life.
Then picture yourself outside of the bubble, unlimited, and connected to all life. You can look back and see that inside the bubble, your awareness was limited by the bubble. From the inside, it appeared to be a tomb of death (a physical life waiting for its end). BUT when you break out of the bubble, you can think back to remember the bubble as a womb, where you broke through – out into a life beyond limits and divisions. As you look back, you can't actually see the bubble; because in reality, the separation and the bubble never existed.
Element #8
Whether you believe in an afterlife or not, you were created from energy and life, and you will continue to be your unique energy - for now joined with physical star dust, and forever having an echoing impact on all life.
Each life, and all of life’s processes, are critical elements in the essence of Heaven. Even the death of the physical body isn’t good or bad. It is an event in a process.
Love lives in us. And for now, our lives are our physical expression of love, of Heaven on Earth. But your love is infinite, and so you extend out, beyond your knowledge and imagination, throughout all time and all space.
Element #9
Consider Heaven’s operating system as NOT contained in a place, but as an expression of system dynamics.
It is unlimited by space and geography. It is the expression of love’s connective tissue - the connective tissue where all life is held securely.
Heaven operates love’s connective tissue. Love is not contained in a physical space. But it does live in life. Life is a condition of being able to use energy for a purpose. When energy is used for Love’s purposes, love and life evolve in unison to reveal more than the sum of their parts - to reveal Heaven. When love and energy work to create life, Heaven is experienced and the purposes of Heaven are revealed within life.
Element #10
In each moment of unconditional love, the mental wall between Heaven and earth falls down, and Heaven is experienced.
Stop ignoring the power that comes from cooperating in love with others. See the opportunities in the collective well-being woven by Nature’s Laws. Witness yourself at home in the collective well-being of Heaven on Earth.
Element #11
Your life, after death, is already alive now.
What does this mean? The part of you that does exist in heaven, after the physical life, is already a part of you.
If you believe that Heaven can’t be on Earth and requires death of the physical body, it still follows that Heaven does not include your brain.
When your brain is dead and not clouding your vision, you will easily see your life existing in the infinite context of Heaven. The you that will exist after death is already alive now. The irony here is that the loss of your brain will make it easier to appreciate you were already existing in Heaven, pre-after life 😊.
Element #12
What if the global earthly coordination of collective well-being was the global operating system?
It is!! As humans, we know of this in the phrases “Love your neighbor as yourself” and “Love your enemies”. By caring for others, we care for ourselves and vise-versa. We can ignore this foundational system, but we can’t deny its existence and power. When we cooperate in it, we benefit. When we don’t, we suffer. Without others, you wouldn’t be who you are, or even be alive. Each is an emergent element of all existence – past, present, and future. You are connected to every life. What you do to another, you do to yourself.
Element #13
We have no authority over life. We are stewards, not owners.
This means we have the power to modify the environment. But we cannot change the foundational operating system of love upon which everything lives, including the Laws of Nature. Heaven is found in a mind of love and cooperation with all of life.
Element #14
Don’t judge the ways of Heaven.
Humans are not smart enough to understand how everything operates. Heaven’s blueprint for the community of all life is beyond our limited logic. For example, it is possible for one person to think or behave in a destructive way, in the same environment where another person is experiencing Heaven. How can this be? Each life is created from Heaven’s blueprint of Unity. When someone appears to be destructive, remember that destructive behavior is not as powerful as the power of Heaven’s greater context and purposes. Trust that the power of Heaven is at work, even when your mind can’t find any value for the situation. If you want Heaven, it is because you know it is beyond destruction. You are already in the security of Heaven.
Element #15
Heaven on Earth includes all life, without judgement.
Free yourself from the stressful, destructive beliefs that trap you in the insane task of measuring and judging the worth of others and of yourself. They create a false sense of power and knowledge. If you believe competition and judgement support life, you will experience fear and block your awareness of Heaven. In this physical life, we are constantly having to choose between the experience of unconditional love, and the experience of judging. In several religious traditions, these two choices are known as the Tree of Life, and the Tree of Good and Evil. These religions advise us to choose the Tree of Life!
Element #16
If some people don't understand and appreciate Heaven’s operating systems and Nature's Laws, can Heaven exist on Earth?
Yes! Heaven on Earth is you looking around & thinking,"Oh, they are in Heaven with me.”, and “My feet are walking on the ground of sacredness.” and “I will hold onto Heaven, even when I see others don’t realize where they are.” If we don’t hold onto recognizing where we are, how can we expect others to do so?
Heaven is not a goal, it is the experience of love’s wisdom in action. Your mind is a key, to be used in opening yourself to experience Heaven. Evolve your mind, in order to participate in Heaven on Earth
Why do people think that we must experience a physical death in order to experience Heaven? How would it change your life if you knew that heaven does not require a physical transition to death, but a mental transition to an increased awareness of our world?
In this section:
*The ways barriers can cloud our awareness of the power of our lives
*Why our brains do this
*The perspectives we create while we are in a state of clouded awareness, thus furthering and reinforcing these barriers
*How to remove these barriers
*How to see the possibilities waiting for us when we accept our responsibility to acknowledge and act according to Heaven on Earth
HEAVEN ON EARTH = The incomprehensible, yet very accessible power of Love on Earth!
What if you were aware of every act on this planet that is being done right now to develop and improve the world through the strength of love?
What if you could SEE all the possibilities YOU can choose from in the present, to impact the world to create the future you want to see? How can you upgrade your awareness to understand and see these possibilities? It requires a decision to intentionally focus and seek this awareness!
Ask yourself 3 questions:
1-What are the barriers that limit or get in my way of being aware of my part in Heaven on earth?
2-How can I get these barriers out of my way?
3-What are the possibilities for my life, if I accept my power and responsibility to learn about, focus on, and act in service to Heaven on Earth?
What are barriers to awareness and what can we do to get rid of them?
These barriers are not things. A barrier is a focus – a focus that distracts people from comprehending and experiencing their power to impact the world in valuable and beneficial ways.
Your focus is your steering wheel. The direction, or trajectory, you send your focus is where your life (your vehicle) is headed. Be aware of as many potential ways to focus as you can. Then choose to focus in ways that drive you into opportunities, and not limits; into creation, and not destruction. If you focus on what is destructive, love will appear to be absent. If you focus on what is productive and enriching, you will see where love is operating. Your focus is the ultimate cleanser of obstacles between your subjective experience and your experience of Heaven.
The way you contextualize and focus in each situation will determine your choices, moving you further towards where you focus. Broaden your awareness; be selective about where you choose to focus. A destructive focus is a barrier.
How do barriers develop? By default, our brains use thoughts and perceptions that are learned from, and conditioned by, our environment. These thoughts create emotions. The emotions reinforce and magnify the thoughts that created them. Barriers come from these default patterns of thought that are controlled by the environment.
You don’t want your thoughts controlled by the environment! You want to intentionally control your own thoughts. By recognizing our default patterns, we can drive our minds (drive our focus) on purpose, looking out beyond these old default patterns and intentionally creating more astute thought patterns to create a greater awareness.
You can change the connections your brain is making by tracking incoming stimuli differently. You can actually change the wiring (or thought connections) in your brain by learning broader understandings of cause and effect, and deeper meanings for your interpretations and contextualizations about the world.
The more comprehensive your awareness is, the more you realize there are always more factors occurring than you can ever fully understand. This means it’s important to interpret incoming information with the understanding that everything has more purpose and meaning than can be understood in the present moment. By interpreting in this way, your brain’s neurotransmitters release endorphins (a healing chemical that, among other benefits, helps calm your nervous system and enables you to think more comprehensively), rather than producing the chemical cortisol that occurs when an event is perceived from a default thought pattern of anxiety or fear. Eventually, the chemical pathway you choose becomes your new default pattern. If you choose a toxic pattern, you are apt to develop an addiction to stress. If you choose a pathway made from love’s power, it increases your ability to see greater possibilities, new contexts, and novel solutions.
When your brain comes to understand and perceive the world with love and healthy chemicals, a self-reinforcing feedback loop is practiced over and over. This upgraded awareness becomes more automatic across events and situations. On the other hand, an opposite self-reinforcing feedback loop is also possible, if you see things as existing only within the limited purview that there is no purpose or meaning for something stressful. When you do this, you make a cortisol producing brain pathway more durable and more difficult to change. Remember, the chemical pathway you choose becomes the default pathway. When it is toxic, it will become an addiction to stress. But when it is made of love’s wisdom, it increases your ability to see new possibilities, broader contexts, and powerful solutions.
By remembering you don’t know all the elements creating the present, and you don’t know what the future holds, you can trust that harmony is playing out - even when your brain doesn't understand all the notes in harmony’s song. This trust gives you a greater feeling of peace, which allows your brain to access more of your wisdom, which then allows you create more of Heaven on Earth.
In order to dissolve your barriers and create a mental transition to increased awareness, you must be willing to experience the death of your barriers which are preventing you from experiencing heaven. This means letting go of the paradigm that says, "I can see the whole context". We must be open to an expanded way of thinking and understanding.
How do an expanded awareness and an intentional focus apply to relationships and to life purposes? The possibilities for your life are endless if you allow yourself the power and responsibility to focus on, and act in service to, Heaven on Earth. To do this, see all lives without the boulder in your eye. The boulder is your barrier that blocks your mind, divides you from others, and separates you.
While it is necessary to judge thoughts and actions, in order choose what you want to think and do, don’t judge People. Only from ignorance can we believe we can understand the history, intentions, and roots of another’s choices. You have no idea about all the factors aligning to create another’s thoughts and actions.
The intentions of actions are often much more important than rules. An enormous example of this is that the people who hid the Jewish people during the holocaust chose to tell bold and continuous lies in order to save lives. People all over the world today are trying to save their children’s lives. They find themselves having to break rules in order to do this. The love in one’s intention is the truth, beyond the truth of any behavior itself.
The wisdom of love knows it can’t judge. A recent personal example is of two people I know who recently stole a dog from their own family member. They did this out of love, to save the dog’s life. The dog’s owner called the police - not to retrieve the dog but to punish the people who stole the dog while trying to save the dog’s life. The police eventually dropped the case, when they realized the intentions behind the actions on both sides of the matter. The police understood the intentions of love.
As the saying goes, let the one who has no sin cast the first stone of judgement. This is because the person without sin in their eyes does not see a person to throw stones at! They see what love is constructing and unfolding in their life and in every life. Anything else would lead to thoughts of separation and division - a downward cycle of addiction to toxic and destructive chemicals of the emotions which were caused by thoughts that see separation. It is up to each of us to choose thoughts and actions which create life, connection, and experiences of love and cooperation.
When you are operating from wisdom (from a mind of love), you can see the problems to address, rather than believing a person is the problem. Do not see other lives as lacking love. Behavior, pain, emotion, and ignorance do not define a life. These are signs that a life (whether your own, or someone else’s) is needing more awareness of love’s existence. But these are not signs that love doesn’t exist. Where you see a problem, you can find solutions, when you use the wisdom of love. It is in the process of using love that Heaven is revealed to you.
Heaven is not an end-goal, it is the experience of love’s wisdom in action. Love can use anything to create something better. Do not look for an absence of love. You won’t find it. Love is everywhere. Being blind to this is what creates problems. The wise do not judge themselves as separate from others, as better or worse than others, but as united with others. Thus, they have love for all and want the best for all - this is the experience of Heaven’s environment.
How can you experience yourself as a part of Heaven on Earth? Remove the boulder from of your own mind’s eye. Then you will see clearly and be able to remove the pebble out of another’s eye. This means you support others' awareness in knowing they are not separate from Heaven either.
If you need to, use forgiveness to dissolve any barriers that are preventing you from seeing the power and durability of your love. Seeing the power of love within you brings the reality of being alive, and the ideal of heaven, together (A.K.A. “Heaven on earth”). Seeing life through a clear lens of love brings Heaven into your experience of life on Earth.
Heaven is available to our awareness when we stop clinging to thoughts created by ignorance, and thoughts from the ego’s limited perception. Heaven appears when we let go of limited thinking, and look to see that love is reliable for understanding and experiencing the world.
Heaven comes to the hungry stomach in the form of food. Heaven comes to the hungry heart in the form of love. Heaven is what we need - both in this life and eternally. We need love – Love is the energy that lives forever.
We must make conscious choices in order to create the world we want. We must choose clear thinking and wisdom to create a Collective Well-Being (AKA Heaven on Earth). We must understand the insane belief systems that promote division and war, and how these beliefs are able to survive. We have the power to create change and build systems of cooperation and mutual benefit.
Hold in mind the idea that Heaven is not a geographical location. Heaven provides the experience of embracing each life as both unique, and as an immeasurable element within the collective. Rather than requiring a physical death, the experience of Heaven requires a death of devotion to division. Each life is an emergent element of all existence – past present, and creating the future. The creation and evolution of You is connected to every life. Heaven holds the awareness of each and all lives together - the experience of a collective Well-Being. All love lives in Heaven; and all love is on earth. Heaven can be experienced here. This experience is not dependent on us getting ”there,” as if we have to travel though time or space. Heaven is always available – it is revealed when beliefs that create obstacles and barriers are removed.
Hell is a mental space where your mind can live as though you are not connected to every life. But instead of being free, you unintentionally create a mental prison and put yourself in a sort of solitary confinement. This hell occurs by believing each life is separate; and by believing certain lives should be valued as more important than others. These beliefs lead to judgement, and to the lie that some lives are excluded from experiencing Heaven. These beliefs rid us of the reality of what Heaven is even about. INSTEAD OF respecting each life, each life is measured according to a belief system’s limited understanding of what is good, valuable, and beneficial. Lives then become commodities and tools.
Realize that the way we measure others is how we measure ourselves. If we see others as potentially separate, or worthless, it is also the potential we give ourselves. Comparing and competing with others, judging and measuring others, turns into actions which create experiences of division – of Hell’s insanity. In this way, we end up believing we are competing not only for material possessions, but for love – as if love is a possession that is scarce and that we have to compete for it. But, love is not a reward. Love is what we are ALL embedded in and made of. Just because we lose the truth of this, and act irrationally, doesn’t mean it’s not true. We are still made of love.
Divisive belief systems can be planted in a mind that is vulnerable because it doesn’t know its own strength. When we are tethered to belief systems that lack love, compassion, and wisdom, we are like the powerful elephant, tethered to a little tree. There is a syndrome known as 'The Baby Elephant Syndrome. (My understanding is that elephants are too intelligent for this to be true of them. But it can definitely be applied to humans.) In this Syndrome, the baby elephant's ankle is tethered to a tree that is stronger than itself. As the elephant grows, it doesn’t know it has become more powerful than the tree. Thus, it stays tethered to the tree. Our tree is any belief system that values fear & division over community and love. (In the Judeo-Christian texts, this tree is known as the 'Tree of Good & Evil' in the 'Garden of Eden'.) When we don’t respect our own power of love, and when we fear we won’t have enough, we become anxious and selfish. Fear and selfishness are our tethers to the divisive belief systems we created. We then think we are dependent on them. When we compete rather than cooperate, we reinforce a limited mindset of fear and selfishness. Fear and selfishness cause a developmental problem in our lives, and we do not develop the mental strength that comes from self-respect.
The highest form of self-respect comes from knowing the power of your own love. We can only truly respect our own lives, when we respect all lives. Otherwise, we are again at risk of tethering our minds to beliefs in scarcity, division, and destruction. This tethers our lives into the systems we created and reinforce with this insanity. But, we can learn that selfishness is the opposite of self-respect. By seeing how we treat others, we learn the truth of how we are actually treating ourselves.
When we measure the value of life through a lens of judgement, comparison, and competition, we cannot see our own true value. Imagine this for a minute. What if you had never seen into a mirror. Never visually seen yourself as separate? Imagine how people behave when they have never had a reason to look into a mirror. These people and cultures do exist. They don’t judge themselves as we do. In cultures that value community over material possessions and comparisons, they consciously know the need to connect with others through cooperation and love in order to sustain & evolve life. Value the wisdom that comes from knowing your unique self, knowing your immeasurable value, from the inside-out. Do not measure yourself by what is on the outside. When you know your internal beauty, wisdom, and strength, you trust yourself more and you can more deeply connect with life outside of yourself. What if you only saw yourself from the inside out, from the depth of who you are in your heart, and connected to others with this wisdom?
On a larger scale:
What if global coordination of collective well-being was the global operating system? Well, it is! It is called the Laws of Nature. We humans know one of these Laws in the phrase, “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Each neighbor, the neighborhood being the planet, is a part of yourself. Without others, you wouldn’t be who you are or even be alive. Now, just by knowing about this function of Heaven on Earth doesn’t mean you can manipulate or deconstruct it. Heaven’s operating systems cannot be reduced to the limited factors the human brain understands. But, we can understand what it means to each do our part in the collective whole - simply (and sometimes not so simply) to honor and love ourselves, and then to magnify this experience by giving the same love and honor to all other life on this planet.
Although Nature’s operating systems cannot be changed, the human species has, in part, used its intellect to think it can outsmart the Laws of Nature. The outcome to operating against the Laws of Nature is that our human species has discovered how to potentially destroy itself. We are the only species trying to outsmart our dependence on collective well-being. Thus, we are the only species with the current capacity to destroy itself. Maybe human intelligence needs to be redirected! In order to create and govern our ongoing evolution of systems and institutions for our well-being, we have to use integrity. We have to learn about, understand, and trust the power that comes from love, cooperation, and peace.
How are we able to trick ourselves into the delusion that we must compete for resources, and have wars, in order to establish peace? When we refuse to see Nature’s system of collective well-being as a foundational system that we emerged from and are embedded within, we try to manufacture our own systems for ourselves. This would be benign and fine, if we acknowledged that we made these man-made systems and we are not slaves to them. However, when we create a system and forget where it came from (we made it), we can see it as permanent, and be mentally imprisoned by it. Then, when we see facts that question or disconfirm this illusion of permanence, this mental prison, we neutralize those facts.
Systems create institutions. Man-made systems create man-made institutions. But we forget we created the man-made systems and institutions, and we think they created us. Examples of systems we created are: economic and financial systems, legal systems, political systems, religious institutions, and more.
We have put ourselves in mental prisons. In the prison system they say an inmate has become institutionalized when they stop thinking for themselves, when they let go of critical thinking, and when they fully adjust to being dependent on the decisions of others. We have created mental prisons of belief. When we forget we created these systems, they seem Divinely created. They then become worshiped. What was a humanly created belief system, becomes more valuable than life itself. The followers let go of critical thinking. They adjust to being fully dependent on the decisions of others who are leading the belief system, and who are often using it as a tool for selfish gain. When this happens, we see people voluntarily risk their lives for a belief system in which their life is seen to have no value.
Society can only be convinced to create its own hell when it continues to be blind to the opportunities of Heaven. Heaven’s systems on earth are built of love. In Heaven, each life cares about all lives. What one feels, all feel through compassion and empathy. This is how love’s connective tissue operates for the benefit of ALL existence.
If we don’t use empathy and compassion, we are unable to gather important information about the world around us. As a result, we become ignorant and lie to ourselves, believing that what is constructive is too costly, and believing that what is destructive creates gain.
Thankfully, by being embedded in Nature, we are already in a system of integrity, beyond our understanding. Each of us is different. But we can do our best to understand how to love others when we listen to our hearts, our instrument in our global harmony. Through compassion and empathy, what one feels, all can feel in the connective tissue of love.
Walter Wink developed a list of many lies, or delusional assumptions, we tell ourselves which create systems and institutions that operate against our collective well-being.
Here are 16 of these lies:
Lie #1 – the need to control society and prevent chaos requires some to dominate others.
Lie #2 - those who dominate may use other people as a means to achieve their goals.
Lie #3 - men are better equipped by nature to be dominant than women, and some races are naturally suited to dominate others
Lie #4 - a valued end justifies the use of any means
Lie #5 - violence is redemptive; it is the only language enemies understand
Lie #6 - ruling or managing is the most important of all social functions
Lie #7 - rulers and managers should be rewarded with extra privileges and greater wealth of all kinds
Lie #8 - those who have military strength, who control the most advanced technology, have the greatest wealth, or have the largest markets, are the ones who will and should survive
Lie #9 - money is the most important value
Lie #10 - the possession of money is a sign and proof of political and social worth
Lie #11 - the production of material goods is more important than the production of healthy people and sound relationships
Lie #12 - property is sacred, and property ownership is an absolute right
Lie #13 - for an organization or nation, great size is proof of its power and value
Lie #14 - institutions are more important than people
Lie #15 - there is no higher value or being or power than the state; if there is a God to be believed in, that God is the protector and patron of the state
Lie #16 - God, if declared real, is not revealed to all, but only to select individuals or nations and their rulers and priesthood
Does this sound upsetting? Well, there is good news! Thankfully, most humans are not greedy. We want to grow lives rooted in Heaven’s soil of love, on earth – not of a selfish hell on earth. Most of us would prefer not just surviving as a species, but thriving with all lives, in all of nature.
In the Buddhist Avatamska Sutra it is said, "In the heaven of Indra there is said to be a network of pearls, so arranged that if you look at one you see all the others reflected in it, and if you move into any part of it, you set off the sound of bells that ring through every part of the network, through every part of reality. In the same way, each person, each object in the world is not merely itself, but involves every other person & object and, in fact, on one level is every other person and object."
Hell is in the darkness of the one unwilling to see the barrier blocking their wisdom, hell is the boulder in their mind’s eye.
Heaven sees all of life through eyes that see each life as Sacred, beyond any measure.
Are we Humans capable of thinking and acting in ways which create a collective well-being for all of life on Earth? We talk and argue about ideas for accomplishing this. But can we actually cooperate enough to put our ideas and our actions together to do it?
In this Section:
*Are we ABLE to create communities and individual lives which respect all lives on the planet?
*If we able, are we willing to do what it takes to turn this ability into our REALITY?
*How to reach our potentials, both as individuals and as a global community.
*17 areas where we can responsibly learn about, understand, and act in alignment with our part of a global collective community.
We only reach our potentials, our best experiences / our best lives, to the degree we understand:
*the importance of our life and every life
*the problems and opportunities in front of us.
There is a difference between our "Aptitude" and "Achievement". Aptitude is the potential to learn and accomplish. Achievement is the actual learning and accomplishing. We have the aptitude/ the intelligence to create the operating systems that are necessary for our collective well-being. We also have the aptitude/ the ability, to prioritize a collective well-being over selfish gain (we have the ability to work cooperatively with others). But, these abilities are only activated and actualized (achieved) when we first understand that every one of us is significant within the collective of all lives. Thus, it is in the best interest of our own life to act in alignment with what is within the collective well-being. This seems obvious, but when we process information through misunderstandings and limited perceptions, we seem to think that a collective well-being is a far-away place we can’t get to. Sometimes we use the idea of Heaven against ourselves, thinking that our collective well-being is far away in time and space. We then think there is no reason to try achieving Heaven on earth. But we have the aptitude, so why not try?
On earth, it is in our best-interests to responsibly learn, understand, and create lives that recognize and act in reverence to all lives. To the degree we live in any other way, we will behave according to what we think we must do to only survive, rather than behaving according to a world where everyone can thrive within the collective well-being.
17 areas of our opportunity:
1 - We must stop clinging to thoughts and beliefs that pit us against each other. Ignorance and perceptual limits blind us from our aptitude (our ability) for cooperation and collective well-being, blinding us from our achievement of it. Where we have difficulty loving others is where we have blind spots. We must find ways to resolve these. Intelligence looks for ways to create healthy connections; discerning the difference between emotional reactions and intelligent responses. This does not mean to connect with destruction, or destructive actions. It means the opposite. Connecting with others does not mean connecting with, or loving, everything they do. Focus on yourself. You are the one you can control. Don’t destroy connections. Build healthy connections; not toxic ones. Create connections that respect every life you touch.
2 - Realize that we understand and experience life through our limited senses (touching, seeing, hearing, tasting, and smelling). We filter and process incoming stimuli according to conscious and subconscious memory and prior learning. There is a filter on our senses that decides what to pay attention to and how to process the information. Our filter is aligned with what we believe the purposes of life are. How we filter incoming stimuli determines how we perceive, interpret, and judge the world. In this way we create belief systems which determine whether our achievements can rise to our aptitude, or not. Depending on a person’s filter, one person will be upset, fearful, and frozen by a situation, whereas another person will see the same situation as an opportunity to create something greater. Use a mind of love to understand and know about our world. Let go of the paradigm that says, "I can see the whole context". There is always a more comprehensive way to understand each of our experiences.
3 – Our perceptions, beliefs, and emotions create our actions. If we perceive ourselves to be against others, or isolated, or divisive, we block the achievement of our aptitude for collective well-being. But, if we see ourselves as interdependent, and seek solutions that encompass the needs of everyone, we expand our ability to achieve what we are capable of - our aptitude of collective well-being.
4 - Each of us can change the connections our brain is making by tracking incoming stimuli differently. You can shift the wiring in your brain to a broader understanding of cause and effect, and of interpretation. Depending on a person’s perception, one person will see limits and be frozen by a situation, whereas another person will see the same situation as an opportunity to create something greater. You can look for the potential and purpose in any given moment, rather than being frozen in a moment, an emotion, or a judgement.
5 - Our brains hold the thoughts and perceptions we have learned and practiced over time. If we are not paying attention, we can get stuck in limited thought patterns which become reactive to the environment. On the other hand, when we continue to learn and grow, we tap into more of our aptitude; thus, making wiser and more responsible choices for responding to the environment – rather than reacting as if the environment is to blame for our experience.
6- The more comprehensive our awareness is, the more we realize there is more to factor in than we can ever mentally understand. Interpret incoming stimuli with the understanding that everything has more purpose and meaning than you understand in the present moment. In this way, your brain’s neurotransmitters release endorphins, rather than the cortisol that comes when an event is perceived with anxiety or fear.
7 - When your brain understands and perceives the world with love, healthy emotional chemicals increase, and you practice a self-reinforcing feedback loop. Over time, this becomes more automatic across events and situations. Be aware that an opposite self-reinforcing feedback loop is also possible. If you see situations as existing only within your purview,
when your purview is that there is no purpose or meaning for something stressful, you are reinforcing a stressful, cortisol producing brain pathway, and you are making that chemical pathway more durable. Eventually, the chemical pathway you choose becomes the default pathway within your brain. Thus, if you are reinforcing a toxic pathway, you will likely develop an addiction to stressful chemicals and emotions.
8 - Understand that the world is constantly evolving in alignment with the collective well-being of all life - with, or without, humans. We humans decide to what degree we are willing to learn and accept our roles in the perfect balance of interdependence. We must understand the interdependence of all life: that all resources are perfectly balanced in a web we cannot change. We can embrace our roles and thrive; or refuse to, to our demise.
Each life is provisional to all lives, and is perfectly balanced within a collective well-being. This is the unity and harmony of Heaven on earth. Being aware of interdependence, and trusting ideas made from love, creates new solutions and a greater sense of internal peace and power. For ever-increasing awareness, understand that harmony is playing out, even though your brain can’t see all the notes to this global song. This is how the world works: we are alive because of our interdependence. Each life impacts all others. We choose whether to get stuck in ignorant beliefs that do not serve all lives, or whether to cling to the peace that we have when we are conscious of our interdependence that holds our health and our aptitude.
9 - Our physical bodies are a part of nature. They teach us the perfect balance of nature. For example, when we have pain, it is our bodies' way of alerting us to address an issue. We can attend to the issue in a healthy way, leading us into increased health (often a health beyond what we had prior to the pain). Or we can ignore the pain at our own peril, and potentially increase the pain. All of life is like one big body. We can see painful issues and events from a limited perception, ignoring the fact that healthy solutions will always increase our collective well-being, thereby improving our own well-being. Or we can use a more comprehensive perception, and know that the discomfort is leading us into choices for learning about, & growing into, our collective greater well-being. A true solution for some is never destructive for any.
10 - We are a very small part of a very large system - an Infinite system. Each of us has the potential to effect other lives more powerfully than we can ever understand. Whether we are noticing or not, everything has a purpose bigger than what our brains can comprehend. We really don’t even understand who we are. We are always wondering, “Why are we here?” This question assumes a cause and effect paradigm. But, it's best to let go of the limited idea that the cause and effect paradigm is comprehensive. While it is fine to understand and use the paradigm of cause and effect, remember that there is always more happening beyond your linear awareness of cause and effect.
11 - When you let love control you, and have reverence for all life, you will feel the freedom and peace that come from surrendering the limited idea that you know the reasons behind and ahead of what is happening.
Last year, I had the opportunity to see a challenging situation with either a micro-perspective, or to look for a greater purpose for the situation. I went to get an item repaired. It was a critical item I was using to keep connected with others during a pandemic. The process of what I expected to be a one-time appointment for a simple repair evolved into several trips and appointments. After the first fix, a larger malfunction arose. Then, in the fixing of that issue, cascading issues arose with the item. The repair personnel were baffled and frustrated at first, as they hadn’t seen a problem like this before. But overtime, they became increasingly patient. (And I want to mention that I was not charged extra for all of these new issues). In addition to the device issues, some of the necessary repair people were ill and unavailable.
I was intrigued and curious about the greater purpose of this ongoing saga. Although it was all very inconvenient, and caused significant limitations in my use of the critical device, for both personal and work tasks, I was curious. I wondered about the connections I was having with the people at the shop, and about the peacefulness in the space there. I wondered if this sense of peace was coming from us, or from the space, or from something else, or from all the factors added together? Mostly, I wondered about the greater purpose of all of this. The more I was open to the possibilities, the more I learned and practiced greater patience in both myself and with the repair process. My sense of being involved in a purpose greater than myself grew.
As the series of events unfolded, I realized more and more that there was a purpose much greater than just repairing the device. Each time I was there waiting, I felt an increasing sense of peace and purpose in the time invested. Although I had no idea what the bigger purpose was, I enjoyed the inner peaceful experience, and I was glad to be a part of a something beyond my ability to comprehend. It was clear to me that the purpose was greater than just fixing my device; and greater than anything I knew of. Also, I was so very glad not to be caught up in a limited perspective that could’ve lead to frustration and confusion, and even to blame, division, and anger.
12 - Have you ever had a moment when you felt down; and then someone else’s love brought light into your dark moment? Love is our stability; and darkness is not sustainable. Love gives us the strength to see in the dark - to bring light into it. Bring love into your moments…no matter what.
Imagine walking in the dark on a path. To light the path, you have a lamp. Your life is the path. Your perception is your lamp. The dimmer the lamp’s light is, the less comprehensive your understanding of the path is. If you fuel your lamp / your perception with fear, opposition, blame, or greed, your lamp will be dim, and your path will be difficult to see. You will be more easily misled into blame, fear, and division. But if you believe your best fuel is love, your lamp/ your perception, will be clear, and your life will have more light. You will be able to see the other paths around you, and be able to work together in a collective well-being. Each of us has the potential to shine love more powerfully than we can ever understand - shining onto our own path and onto those of all who are touched by our lights.
13 - Each of us exists because an immeasurable number of factors came together to make space for us and to form our lives. This is the Unity we are embedded in. Realize that each and every creation on Earth is uniquely created by this Unity, and embedded within it. We can deny our Unity, but we cannot erase it. It creates us; and we create it. Love is its connective tissue. This means you are made of love. If you don’t see that you are embraced in a love beyond human judgement, then you live in the fear that your physical life must conform to a human standard before you can be loved. But the love that makes you unique is not dependent on you. You are loved, you are included, and you are significant in Unity already. This recognition will stand forth on its own, when the obstacles in your mind are removed.
14 - Flood your awareness with what love is doing. Where your awareness is void of love, you have no power. Where you use love, the power of your life is unstoppable. Respond to all others’ paths with the power of your Love.
Pour love into any area empty of love. Power pours love in; the opposite is to react – which means to try to force something. Flow with power, don’t force. Power transcends anywhere void of love. Angst brings reactivity and anxiety. Angst stops the flow of true power. Do not depend on anything except love.
This is you, creating the evolution of your life in Heaven - and impacting all lives forever.
15 - Each life is created from the blueprint of Unity. When someone appears outside of what is expected as 'good', remember the Unity blueprint - the greater context. Love is free from being controlled by anything not of love. Love’s power is not dependent on being against anything. Use your love to see each and every life in the blueprint - even when that life can't see their own love. See it for them, until they do. Let this mindset control your emotions.
16 – To the degree that you judge others, you will judge all lives- including your own. This is one way that a limited perception reinforces itself. However, when we see ourselves as embedded in Unity, in Heaven on earth together, we are aware of its essence around and within us. This is the heart informing the head. But, the wormhole OUT of Unity is in refusing to trust the natural operating systems of collective well-being. Don’t think you can judge the operating systems of nature! We humans are not smart enough to understand how everything operates. Do not consider the wormhole out of Unity – Instead, live in unity’s reverence for all life.
17 - Heaven includes our lives; but it is not limited to them. Form does not manifest Heaven. But, Heaven can manifest form. The Unity and well-being of everything is the harmony of Heaven. It always exists. It is felt when one listens to their heart (their instrument). To see all lives as manifestations of Heaven, free of judgement, is Wisdom. To act from this creates collective well-being on earth. As each of us understands what it means to be love, we see Heaven more clearly, including on earth.
How would we behave, if we really wanted to live out the phrase, “On Earth as it is in Heaven”?
This is not meant to be a religious question. "Heaven" is a word anyone can use for the world they want to live in.
What kind of world do you want? We can’t create what we don’t think is possible. Are we willing to unlearn the idea that we can’t have Heaven on Earth? Are we willing to participate in what Heaven here on Earth would require of us?
Keep in mind, if humans could design Heaven on Earth they would've already done so. Heaven is already designed, and comes into form through the laws of nature. Humility is the key to peacefully existing within these laws. Humility opens the door to the trust and cooperation required to live peacefully within the natural systems that we do not fully understand, we can’t design, and we definitely don’t control. In other words, anyone who truly wants Heaven on earth must trust (and not try to control) the power of an already existing operating system that is supportive and beneficial to all life.
To have the lives we want, we must be responsible within Nature's operating systems. This means letting go of whatever is detrimental to others. The bottom line is that what we do to others, we do to ourselves. Let go of any thing or any behavior that is detrimental to another. Are we humans willing to do this? Or will we insist on keeping the false protections of fear and greed which stem from arrogance and ignorance?
In this section:
*You exist in heaven on earth.
*We need to operate within the laws of Nature. They are there to provide security for us.
*What does this security asks of each of us?
*Where is it best to pay attention, in order to see heaven on earth?
*Our bodies are tools to guide our attention.
*Examples of mistakes we make, when we are blind to the problems we manufacture.
*Why are we on earth in the first place?
*The importance of you in Heaven on earth!
Nature holds the resources needed for all life. Nature does not support what does not serve life. We live within nature. We can’t escape the laws of nature. Intentionally aligning your life with the operating systems of Nature is healing for you. When we do this collectively, it heals our species. ... So what does this mean?
The interdependence of personal and collective well-being is a law of Nature. Whatever the seeming personal cost to you of collective well-being, it is like a shiny penny paid towards the wealth of personal and collective well-being. I say “shiny” because it gets immediate, short-term attention. Whatever your personal cost (the shiny penny), it may seem like a high price in the moment. But no price is actually paid, and no value is lost. When you harmonize your life with the laws of Nature you are embedded in, your penny is actually invested. The value of this investment, the value of your life, becomes infinite.
You are a seed, planted in the richest soil. Because of interdependence, respecting the best of yourself is not selfish; it is good for everyone! The needs of others are the needs of yourself. Seeing heaven means understanding this. Experiencing heaven means living out your personal desires, your focus, and your actions for the collective well-being.
Be aware of, and accept that, your well-being is interdependent with, and embedded in collective well-being. Yours, and the collective well-being are, mutually dependent on each other. This cannot be understood by using emotional reactions. Interdependence is a clear fact and a powerful truth. It is not something to argue with or be afraid of. Fearing interdependence is like being afraid of truth. Use wisdom and love to understand it. You can’t use fear.
Heaven on Earth includes everyone. Each is an emerging life out of all existence. You are emerging from the past, the present, and you are creating the future. Judging or excluding anyone stems from arrogance and ignorance. The intersection of arrogance and ignorance is false pride; a false sense of power and strength that eats away at itself like a cancer. Look around and you see the proof! Believing judgment and exclusion can support life ultimately creates fear in those doing the judging. See problems as a flashlight for what needs healing; not as an obstacle limiting your life.
Our physical bodies are our vehicles within nature here on earth. These bodies give us signals to guide us in many ways. When we pay attention to these signals, we grow our internal resources (e.g., patience, compassion, empathy, self-care, community, and many more). As our personal and collective awareness evolves, the awareness of our body also become more attuned to what is beneficial and what is not.
Even the physical body’s death is a feature (and not a bug) in Nature’s harmonic systems. Death is not to be judged. Physical energy does not die. It transforms; some would say it heals. Whether you believe in any afterlife or not, your physical vehicle, your body, was created from, and will continue to be, energy. The energy of you use to be star dust, then it became you, and it will continue on after your physical body stops breathing.
We can’t change or over-ride the laws of Nature. The sooner we stop trying to, the sooner we can witness our home in the collective well-being of Heaven on Earth.
We can modify our environments. When we create more compassionate environments for collective well-being, we experience our lives as vehicles of love. When we share, there is plenty for everyone. Experiencing the love in yourself is experiencing the heaven within you. On the other hand, when we do harm to other life on the planet, we harm ourselves. Of course, we don’t do this with self-harm as an intended goal. In fact, we may be so caught up in man-made competitions of power and money, that we don’t see the damage we do in trying to win against, or at the cost of, others. When we compete over resources, the results are hoarding and deprivation.
What we do to others, we do to ourselves, including the deprivation of resources. When we deprive others of physical or emotional resources, we ourselves pay for the pain in our collective. This fact is not something we can get away from or out-maneuver.
An example of this is in the institutional power blindness that creates a payment system of vengeance, where the punishment does more damage to the collective than the initial offense did. For example, the revenge payment of holding someone in isolation for decades, with the sole purpose of killing the person in the end. Death row is one of the most expensive and isolating places to live. If we put the same person in the general prison population for the same number of years, hundreds of thousands of dollars could then be used to feed thousands of hungry children. This would require prioritizing the goals of protecting society and decreasing suffering, over the goal of revenge.
Why are we here on earth? We are here to learn the reasons, within ourselves, to care for each other. It is in embracing the laws of Nature that we can end our suffering and heal our self-inflicted wounds. We must align our goals with those of the Natural world that we are a part of, and are dependent on. Care and compassion for others is care and healing for ourselves. Healing and resurrection are for everyone. We must believe in, and entrust our lives to, this power of love.
Another example of trying to out-maneuver the power of love is in paying for the emotional torture and physical death of other animals, so that we can turn the remnants of their physical bodies into commodities to buy and sell, in order to compete in our man-made money competition.
Eventually, voluntarily or not, we will have to let go of anything that does not serve the health of all beings. The power of Heaven’s patterns on earth do not support the life of anything less. One way or another, we are each swimming in, immersed in, this healing power. Choose to trust love in this life! Do not choose a fear-filled suicide of our species. Either way, our energy will be healed into something greater than ourselves. Let’s be in the greatness of love, the wholeness of life NOW!
Where do you look, to see your best life? You see it in every moment that you trust you are necessary to all of life. There is no unity or collective well-being without you! What you experience within yourself, when you trust the power of your love, and when you trust our unity, cleanses you of any doubt about love’s power in your life. This experience is your understanding of what Divine eyes already see in you. See the truth of heaven in your earthly life. "Thy Will of love be done in my Earthly life, as it is in Heaven". It is here! We know it when we return our minds into the depths of our hearts, into our Gardens of Eden. Eat from the Tree of Life.
Release any dependence you have on thoughts that are held in fear or judgement. Judgement is at the intersection of ignorance and fear. Unconditional Love is the wholeness of life. Heaven is found in you - in your mind of love and your cooperation with all of life.
Are you aware of, and living according to, your interdependence with all life? When you do, you experience the wonderful sense of you, in our collective Well-Being!
